A German-French workshop on movement theatre
WORKSHOP PHYSICAL THEATRE
Workshop format for the pracitical application of digital technologies in Dance.
The tanz:digital workshop programme invited participants to share their experiences, knowledge and skills in the artistic application of digital technologies.
On three consecutive days in 2022 and 2023, choreographers, dancers, media artists and scientists were able to present their artistic and scientific strategies for the digital space and their personal approach to digital technologies. Contributions on virtual reality, gaming, robotics, augmented reality and motion capture were invited.
The debate also centred on the extent to which digital means, technologies and spaces take on a political function or discuss political realities.
The tanz:digital workshop programme is a cooperation between the International Theatre Institute and the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
